Bond Timber is a family-run timber merchant based in Cornwall. They supply construction, fencing, and gardening materials across the South West. The business grew steadily into one of the region’s recognised timber processors and suppliers. When they closed their physical retail store and moved entirely online, their website became central to daily operations.
They were already running the business on Magento 2. However, as order volumes increased and customer expectations shifted, the existing setup needed strengthening. Many of their customers work in rural areas where internet access can be unreliable. So, speed and offline access were not technical upgrades for the sake of it. Rather, they were practical requirements.
